When you initiate our channel verification process, our application requests access to specific information from your Google Account via Google OAuth 2.0. We request only the minimum permissions necessary to verify ownership of your channel:
- YouTube Channel Information (youtube.readonly): We access details about your YouTube channels, including your YouTube Channel ID, channel name, channel handle, and YouTube channel URL.
- Basic Profile Information (email, profile): We may access your channel’s Google email address and public profile name to confirm your identity during registration and ensure account security.
2. How We Use Your Google Data
We use the information obtained via Google APIs to automate your creator onboarding:
- Verification & Claiming: We verify your ownership of the requested YouTube channel. Upon successful verification, we update your austinzone.vip Channel Page status to “claimed,” granting you access to expanded AustinZone features.
- Profile Customization: We attach your verified Channel Page information to your Brand Profile, which you can later customize with company details and location information.
- CRM Sync: We transfer the verified YouTube channel name, URL, and associated system identifiers into our CRM platform.
- Account Creation: During the final Account Creation step, you will be prompted to submit your preferred name and email address to manage your account going forward.
3. Google API Limited Use Disclosure
Our application strictly complies with Google’s developer data policies.
AustinZone’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We only use your Google data to provide and improve user-facing features essential to your creator onboarding.
- We do not sell, rent, or lease your Google user data to any third-party advertisers, data brokers, or external entities.
- Human access to your Google data is strictly prohibited within our organization, except when necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or when you explicitly request technical support.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures
To provide our service, we transfer verified channel information strictly to our integrated systems:
- Our Secure Database Backend: Serves as our primary secure database and directory source of truth for user accounts and verification states.
- Our Content Management System (CMS): Used to display your public channel page on austinzone.vip.
- Our Integrated CRM Platform: Used to manage your membership status, map form submissions, and maintain your contact history.
We do not share your Google data with any other external third parties.
5. Data Retention, Security, and Revocation
- Tokens: We do not store your Google OAuth access tokens or refresh tokens long-term. They are utilized momentarily to verify channel ownership and are immediately discarded.
- Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information stored within our databases and integrated platforms against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
- Revocation: You can revoke our application’s access to your Google Account at any time by visiting the Google Security Settings Page.
